PCA EMAC Peer Learning Forum: The New Normal in the Age of COVID

The PCA Emergency Management Advisory Coalition (EMAC) is partnering with the National Nurse-Led Care Consortium (NNCC) to convene the EMAC Peer Learning Forum: The New Normal in the Age of COVID.

*Save the dates: June 23, July 7, July 14, July 21 | Tuesdays at 3-4pm ET*

Target Audience: Staff with emergency management responsibilities at primary care associations

Time Commitment: There will be 4 sessions (1 hr. each). You may choose to participate in any or all sessions.

For each session, you will hear from 1-2 EMAC members about their experiences or challenges related to the topic. The group will have an opportunity to provide feedback on the cases shared and engage in further conversation. We will end each session with a discussion of available resources to support the emergency management role during and beyond COVID-19.

Part 1- Innovation, Reopening, and Documentation

June 23 - Sign me up!

  • This session will discuss how innovative changes, such as technology or facility modifications, have impacted care, considerations for reopening services, and resources to document COVID response efforts.


Part 2- Workforce, Wellness, and Patient Engagement

July 7 - Sign me up!

  • This session will discuss strategies to support the PCA and health center workforce, promote wellness, and engage with the patient community.


Part 3- Supply Chain: Challenges and Improvements

July 14 - Sign me up!

  • In this session, we will discuss supply chain challenges and progress, funding options, and improved policies and procedures.


Part 4- Response to Simultaneous Events

July 21 - Sign me up!

  • For this last session, we will discuss coordinating response when dealing with simultaneous events (e.g., hurricanes and COVID-19), strategies for preparing communities, and available guidance/training resources.


Resources: All resources discussed will be available after on www.pcaemac.org and EMAC’s Slack workspace

*To promote open discussion, we will not be recording sessions. However, a general summary and resources will be made available to EMAC members
